ASSESSMENT DETAILS

Confirmation of Acceptance

Upon receipt of the completed application form and verification of each applicant's qualifications by the Instructors, an invoice for the course fee will be issued to each accepted applicant. Participation can only be confirmed upon receipt of the payment to the ECAHO account (latest on 14 January 2026). The number of participants is limited to 15; application receipt date will be considered.

Transportation

Transportation to Sydney via plane, train, car, etc. is the financial responsibility of each participant.

​

The nearest international/domestic airport is:

• Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport, IATA code SYD

  • Simeon Stud is located 44km from SYD; travel time is 45 min to 1 hour

• Carpool

  • Rideshare options will be available for interstate/international attendees with locally/NSW based attendees with own cars

  • Carpool options will be organised to and from all host hotels for all three days of the Assessment​

Please do not book your flight before you receive confirmation that the course is open, and that you have been accepted as a participant. ECAHO does not accept responsibility for any cancelled travel plans (flights).

 

Australian Visas

​

Most international travellers will need a visa to enter Australia. European Union & Schengen Area citizens, as well as passport holders from Great Britain, are eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) visa (subclass 601), which costs $20AUD and can be secured via online application. Those participants holding passports from countries ineligible for the ETA visa should apply for a Visitor (subclass 600) visa. More detailed information on how to apply for this visa well in advance of travel can be found at the link below:

Meals

​

Dinner on Wednesday & Thursday as well as lunch on Thursday & Friday, will be served for all participants and instructors at Simeon Stud. These four meals are included in the course fee.

​

Breakfast is inclusive with all hotel reservations at the recommended host hotels above. Please be sure to eat breakfast before departure times from the hotel on Saturday & Sunday. 

 

General requirements

​

The course and all tests are conducted in English. The participants are required to have good communicative use and understanding of the English language and be familiar with terms concerning conformation, skeleton, movement, etc. The assessment will be recorded for the internal use of the Instructors.

​

After the course the Instructors will evaluate all participants. The Instructors will consider results of the practical judging, theoretical knowledge, communication skills and general attitude.
